The NIA is the most prestigious and anticipated Islamic event in Sierra Leone. It is an initiative born from the urge of reviving the sunnah of thankfulness and appreciation. NIA was started in 2017 and aims to appreciate, promote and motivate Muslims and Islamic institutions nationwide through an inclusive awards ceremony. YADI discovered the need to express acknowledgement and celebrate Islamic role models and institutions through this award ceremony. NIA serves as a catalyst for encouraging the retention of Islamic teachings and the preservation of its cultural heritage by showcasing the beautiful image of Islam.
YADI was founded on the 5th of April 2014 to serve as a voice for the Muslim community. We address several issues, including religious advocacy, youth and women empowerment, children support and care for the underprivileged.
We are committed to engaging youths in enhancing the livelihood, education and empowerment of Muslims.
YADI envisions the eradication of Islamic ignorance and realization of religious equity for national cohesion.
Our values include adherence to the Quran and Sunnah, honesty; accountability, integrity, community service, creativity and inclusiveness.
YADI is committed to balancing the different aspects of religion and human life, for sustainable and coordinated economic development that will produce peace, prosperity and wellbeing in society.

OUR JOURNEY
Stay informed, stay empowered. With YADI, you'll be able to stop injustice and discrimination, effect change in your community on a national level, and be a part of the ever-growing religious equity movement.
We're here to serve the needs of the Muslim Ummah. Our mission is to empower Muslim youths, adults and families for a better future. We do this through establishing institutions, providing jobs, and integrating Muslims in the community.
Engaging with the youth is not only a means of economic empowerment but also opens up avenues for peace. YADI is committed to engaging youths in enhancing the livelihood, education, and empowerment of Muslims through various campaigns (training & coaching on entrepreneurship skills, creating awareness on rights, and so forth).
YADI has established a network of self-sustaining projects that cater to the needs of disadvantaged Muslims and Muslim communities around the world. We do this by using our own resources, donors, expertise and knowhow as well as partnerships with like-minded organizations at home and abroad.
As a global nonprofit, YADI envisions the eradication of Islamic ignorance and the realization of religious equity for national cohesion. We advocate for people to know that they are not alone on their journey to understand Islam.
At YADI, we're committed to the engagement of youths in enhancing the livelihood, education and empowerment of Muslims. We've created programs, initiatives and campaigns to provide the necessary tools for Muslim youth empowerment.
